If I had to describe myself in two words when I am home during summer time I would tell you "beach bum." I grew up spending summers near the ocean and it will forever be in my blood. After last year's dip in the ocean I decided to make it a tradition for whenever I go home now. A year should never go by without being totally covered in the cold Atlantic water! My niece Sarah joined me for the dip, making it an experience I'm glad we shared together. Once they move I'm not sure how often they will get back to swim in the Atlantic and I always want her to remember how much fun it was growing up. It was also Baby O's first trip to the beach and she was mesmerized by the ocean. No tears at all when we dipped her little feet in. I hope this is the start of many beach days for her cute little crab bum.

Family: O'Hearon
I'm learning a lot of patience and tricks are required to get kids to cooperate infront of the camera. Sometimes all you need is 10 minutes to have great success and other times you need an hour. Fortunately for me, the twins and I had some time to kill before their Dad got home from school so we worked it for the camera during that time. When Dad got home they were getting a little tired of me taking their picture but we got some great family shots regardless. My brother certainly is lucky to be surrounded by three gorgeous blue-eyed girls.
Travel: Peggy's Cove, NS
I love to be a tourist when I go back to the homeland. Nova Scotia has lots of cool sight seeing spots and I never get tired of going to visit them. It just so happened I have friends who have never been to Peggy's Cove so it gave us an extra good excuse to go to that particular spot while I was home last month. It turned out to be the perfect afternoon weather-wise and deep down the boys loved all the silly pictures they were included in. I know they wouldn't have it any other way. Make sure to get to Peggy's Cove if you're ever out east. It's totally worth it!
