Personal: Christmas Cards

Let me tell you, self-timers and cold weather are not my favorite thing in the world but it was worth every cold moment once our Christmas cards were in the mail. We headed out to the park one afternoon to snap some photos to create a card. It was tricky to get the angles we wanted and the sun sets fast on winter days, however we were pleased to have a few good photos when all was said and done. Here were some that we liked. Hopefully next year's will go better

 {or better yet we will pay someone to do it}

Children: Twins

One Sunday afternoon while in Halifax, I had the chance to snap a few quick pictures of these beautiful girls. I have been taking photos of Emmy and Finley since they were fresh out of their Mama's belly and they continue to become smarter, prettier and sassier by the year. They have such different personalities but love each other so much. They will certainly grow up to be the best of friends.

Travel + Personal: Waterton

We love to get out of town and enjoy little escapes away from real life. Waterton National Park in Alberta offers the perfect weekend retreat with beautiful views and animal life. It has the sweetest little town and lots of hikes for everyone and anyone to do. I am already looking forward to going there again this summer.

Personal: Bonfire

A perfect September night with good friends, delicious eats and lots of fun in the park.

Travel: Newport, Oregon

For our honeymoon last August, we spent a few days on the Oregon coast in a little town called Newport. We stayed at the Hallmark Inns directly on the beach and it was perfection. Many nights were spent exploring the beach and enjoying beautiful sunsets. We particularly had fun taking jumping photos on our last night there. I would highly recommend a little getaway here to anyone!

Personal + Travel: Laie, Hawaii Temple

I have been fortunate enough to visit this beautiful building twice in my life now and I have all my fingers crossed I can make it back there a third time eventually. The Laie, Hawaii LDS temple is a little piece of heaven on earth to me. It is pure, beautiful and peaceful whether you are walking around the grounds outside or experiencing it from inside the doors. I found myself walking those grounds often while visiting a friend at BYU-Hawaii trying to soak it all in as much as I could. I love to see the temple.

Children: Olivia Mary

Olivia is my sweet, chunky, fast-growing little niece. For her Mom's 30th birthday this year we took some photos for her that we knew would just melt her heart. How could this beautiful face do anything different?
