Portrait: Nelson Girls

These girls come from a family of 5 kids and life is always busy for them. It can be tough for their Mom to get their hair done, let alone brushed at times so when on the odd occasion some hair love does happen it deserves to be documented. From oldest to youngest, here are the gorgeous Nelson girls sporting hair styles opposite of their natural hair. They all look so grown up.

Personal: Practice

Just some more casual photos following my niece Olivia around one afternoon. Moving babies make it tough to get photos as well as babies who aren't really interested in listening to you say "smile." She sure is cute though making it easy to be patient as I attempt to capture her on camera. Don't mind her bruises. I didn't edit them out because she looks tough with them (haha!)

Personal: Christmas Cards

Let me tell you, self-timers and cold weather are not my favorite thing in the world but it was worth every cold moment once our Christmas cards were in the mail. We headed out to the park one afternoon to snap some photos to create a card. It was tricky to get the angles we wanted and the sun sets fast on winter days, however we were pleased to have a few good photos when all was said and done. Here were some that we liked. Hopefully next year's will go better

 {or better yet we will pay someone to do it}

Children: Twins

One Sunday afternoon while in Halifax, I had the chance to snap a few quick pictures of these beautiful girls. I have been taking photos of Emmy and Finley since they were fresh out of their Mama's belly and they continue to become smarter, prettier and sassier by the year. They have such different personalities but love each other so much. They will certainly grow up to be the best of friends.

Travel + Personal: Waterton

We love to get out of town and enjoy little escapes away from real life. Waterton National Park in Alberta offers the perfect weekend retreat with beautiful views and animal life. It has the sweetest little town and lots of hikes for everyone and anyone to do. I am already looking forward to going there again this summer.

Personal: Bonfire

A perfect September night with good friends, delicious eats and lots of fun in the park.
