Baby: Sawyer

One of the simplest pleasures in life is being the one to take the baby out of the crib after a nap! Especially if that baby is Miss Sawyer. She is so smiley and greets you with the happiest face when you walk into the room. Since she was so happy I grabbed my camera to take a few pictures of her before it was time to go downstairs and play. She is a sweet, sweet girl. I love seeing how she grows!

Personal: Lewisville Park

I'm in Washington right now. One of my favorite things to do while I am here is go for walks. It is so green and lush that walking just feels extremely refreshing. Lewisville Park is a beautiful park with lots of paths to walk, big trees and a river flowing through. I would definitely recommend spending some time here if you're ever in the area.

Portrait: Ginette

Ginette is one of my best friends no matter how far apart we are. This girl is always there to lend an ear and makes an effort to come see me when I am home. We had a fun day of shopping and wandering downtown Halifax {I seem to do those things a lot.. hmm} before I flew back to Calgary. It was so great to see her!

Couples: Eric + Kat

Remember these two? I snapped a couple pictures of them *forever* ago when they first got engaged and now here they are celebrating a first anniversary plus some. They just happened to be on the east coast at the same time I was so we took some time to hang out, snap some pictures and see the Public Gardens {love that place!} I loved their outfits and how happy they are to be together. There is no doubt in my mind that these two are made for each other, like two peas in a pod! Happy Anniversary you two and thanks for letting me take some pictures for you :)

Personal: Rainbow Haven Beach

If I had to describe myself in two words when I am home during summer time I would tell you "beach bum." I grew up spending summers near the ocean and it will forever be in my blood. After last year's dip in the ocean I decided to make it a tradition for whenever I go home now. A year should never go by without being totally covered in the cold Atlantic water! My niece Sarah joined me for the dip, making it an experience I'm glad we shared together. Once they move I'm not sure how often they will get back to swim in the Atlantic and I always want her to remember how much fun it was growing up. It was also Baby O's first trip to the beach and she was mesmerized by the ocean. No tears at all when we dipped her little feet in. I hope this is the start of many beach days for her cute little crab bum.
